About Pha Muen Eco Print
Pha Muen Eco Print began in 2024 from the vision of the Ban Pa Bong Community Enterprise, located in Ban Pa Bong, Phangam Subdistrict, Wiang Chai District, Chiang Rai Province. The initiative aims to transform local natural resources and community knowledge into unique products that can generate income for local people.
The beginning of Eco Print came from an interest in using leaves, flowers, and natural materials found in the local area to create patterns and colors on fabric. Natural printing techniques are used instead of synthetic dyes, making each piece different and uniquely distinctive. In addition, this approach makes use of natural materials available within the community, adding value to local resources.
The main products of Pha Muen Eco Print are Eco Print clothing, designed to be beautiful, simple, and reflective of the community's connection with nature. The patterns on each garment are created from the natural shapes and colors of different plants, making every piece unique. Each garment is like a one-of-a-kind work of art created by nature.
Objectives
1. To create added value from natural resources available within the community.
2. To promote employment opportunities and generate income for community members.
3. To preserve and develop local wisdom through Eco Print.
4. To promote the responsible and environmentally friendly use of natural resources.
5. To develop distinctive community products that can create greater value in the market.
Concept & Highlights
The main concept of Pha Muen Eco Print is “Turning Nature into Art on Fabric.” By bringing the unique characteristics of local plants and natural materials into the creation of patterns on clothing, each piece is carefully crafted through an environmentally conscious process that emphasizes the responsible use of natural resources.
The key highlight of our products is their unique and unrepeatable patterns. Each design is shaped by nature and created by hand, making every piece different. The products also reflect the relationship between the local community and its natural surroundings. Designed for everyday wear, they also help promote the identity of the Ban Pa Bong community in Chiang Rai.
With this concept, Pha Muen Eco Print is more than just a clothing product. It brings together nature, local wisdom, and the creativity of the community to create products with value and character, while contributing to income generation and the long-term strength and sustainability of the community.
